How did you become a wedding planner?
I have always loved planning, which is the main reason why I ended up spending over 12 years in Marketing and Event Management. While responsible for designing and managing corporate projects, it wasn’t until I planned a few social events for family and friends that I was truly inspired. I graciously took on the role of Planner, organizing well past the “I Do’s” and the blowing out the candles.
I fell in love with the process and decided to follow my dream. In 2007, I left Corporate America behind, received certification as a Professional Bridal Consultant with the Association of Bridal Consultants and started Simply Elegant Consulting, a company whose name encompasses the special characteristic I feel every event should posses - Simple Elegance!
I am committed to my brides and to bringing their wedding day vision to life, whether it is an intimate reception or an extravagant affair.
We love your services, but what makes you different from all the other planners out there?
My experience as a Marketing Assistant has taught me the ins and outs of event planning and management. I have worked and built relationships with other special event vendors. I can appreciate what my brides are experiencing and can relieve them of the stress, confusion, and anxiety that the planning process may have caused up until this point.
And that’s not all! At Simply Elegant Consulting, we approach every wedding as a fresh start. Every wedding is unique and we do not follow a magic formula or template. We take pride in building relationships and really getting to know our couples– their passions, interests and the vision they have for their wedding. This allows us to truly customize your day and add personal touches that will make your wedding day memorable.

Who are your ideal brides?
Our ideal bride is newly engaged and has started to think about what she wants for her wedding. She knows she wants a personalized dream wedding but isn’t sure where to begin. She has limited time due to work and family commitments and therefore, values having a professional guide her through the process, providing ideas and suggestions along the way in a serene/no-pressure environment. She has not booked with any vendors just yet and prefers to make informed decisions under the guidance of her planner. Most importantly, she wants to enjoy her engagement instead of stressing 24/7 about every last wedding day detail.

Who do you enjoy working with the most and are there any brides you prefer not to work with?
I absolutely love working with brides and love the relationship I build with my couples and their families throughout the process. I especially enjoy working with brides who think outside the box and who don’t want their wedding to feel “cookie-cutter” or like a version of someone else’s wedding.
It is critical, however, that we be a good match for each other if we are going to effectively collaborate on your wedding day. If you tend to see things negatively, and/or do not see the value of hiring a wedding planner, then we will not be a good fit. It is important that you genuinely want our help in order for us to assist you in the way that you deserve.
Will I lose control of my own wedding if you plan it for me?
When we work with couples, we enter into a partnership. Together, we create your exclusive dream vision. You will never lose control. It is your wedding day, not ours.
Do you offer a payment plan?
A Save-The-Date deposit is necessary to get started. We offer the convenience of monthly payments for the remainder of the fee.
Do you take more than one wedding per day?
Absolutely not! In order to give you the undivided attention you deserve, we only focus on one wedding per weekend.

Meeting in person is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and you’ll get to share with me your wedding day vision. Once we determine your needs, we’ll review our packages in greater detail and find the one that best fits.
